Shanghai Disney Tips and Experience

It's been 6 months since my trip to China and I still can't thinking about it. Spending 3 weeks in China was an amazing experience from climbing the Great Wall to cruising down Li river. It was an unforgettable trip and experience. This was actually my second trip to China but definitely not my last. At the end of the trip I went back to one of my favorite places, Shanghai Disney. Both times I visited Shanghai Disneyland, I bought a seasonal pass. If you are visiting for more than 3 days it might be worth it for you to buy the seasonal pass which also includes hotel, food, and merchandise discounts. It feels like a home away from my home of Disney World. It is one of my top favorite parks in the world because it has 2 of my favorite rides ever, Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney announced that they are building the Tron ride in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World which is super exciting! If only Disney World could get the Shanghai Disneyland's version of Pirates of the Caribbean. It is seriously the coolest ride ever. Shanghai Disney opened in 2016 so its basically brand new. Despite there being crazy long lines for all the rides, I still managed to not wait longer than 45 minutes for any ride with using fastpasses. Disney designed this park with crowds in mind because the walkways are so wide and spacious.

My biggest tip if you are going to Shanghai Disney is to stay on property at one of the 2 beautiful resorts. The biggest perk of staying on property is a separate entrance to the parks in the morning that lets you in early. I cannot emphasize enough how valuable this is. The bus takes you to a back entrance through Disneytown and you don't have to wait in the long lines at the main park gate. The first time I visited Shanghai Disney before they had this perk, I would wait at main gate for almost 30-45 minutes after park opening because the lines were so long to get in. Both times I've visited I stayed at the Toy Story Hotel which is so cute! It is so well done and is a quick Disney bus ride away from Shanghai Disneyland park.

Summer Days in London

This has been a whirlwind summer with lots of adventures that I got to experience. My sister participated in English National Ballets Summer Program so my family got to spend some time in London. Unfortunately we were there during some of their record heat but it was still an amazing experience despite not having air conditioning pretty much anywhere. I was especially excited to visit London after all the Royal events that happened this year like Harry and Meghan's Wedding.

Some of my favorite spots that I went to during my trip to England included visiting The Windsor Castle, touring Buckingham Palace, and exploring the streets of London. I was obsessed with the Royal Wedding so it was so special to be able to visit Windsor Castle and stand where Harry and Meghan said their vows in the St George's Chapel. The day the we visited Windsor Castle I wore an adorable Gal Meets Glam dress. The minute I saw that dress, I knew I had to have it. Ps: Its on sale right now so you can buy it here. I think it is my favorite dress that I've ever owned because its so classic and cute. I visited London at the end of July so I had the opportunity to tour the State Rooms at the Buckingham Palace. This was such a cool and surreal experience to be in such a historic place. Some other places we stopped along the way are Peggy Porchens which was a pink and flower filled adorable dessert place, the Parent Trap House, and Harrods.

My Upcoming Trip to China!

I wanted to fill you all in on my summer travel plans! I'm excited to share that I'm going back to China this summer and this time it's for 3 weeks! I went to Shanghai, China last summer as a part of my graduation trip along with Tokyo, Japan. Honestly I was brought there because there was a Disney park in each of those locations but I am returning because of the fascinating culture and beautiful places.

I'm super excited to be finally visiting one of the 7 wonders of the world, The Great Wall of China! I am also pumped to be going back to Shanghai Disney because I've been dreaming of it ever since I left. There are obviously many more cities and locations I'll be visiting but I'll wait to share to keep some things a surprise. I can't wait for all of you to follow along my journey!

My blogging break actually started right after I visited China last year so I thought it would be fun to share some pictures from that trip and include Japan!
Enjoy!

Gingham with my Besties

I'm back and this time it's for real! This year has gone by so fast. It's crazy to believe but I just finished my freshman year of college at The University of Georgia! I can't believe how fast it went by but I'm so thankful for all the amazing memories and new besties. I seriously can't wait for sophomore year and living in an apartment with my best friends. Freshman year was full of so many amazing memories like game days (go dawgs!), cookout runs, dance parties, and so many others. I've been so blessed to have found so many great gal pals, and can't wait to continue life with them. I have so many exciting things happening this summer and I look forward to sharing my adventures with y'all!
